CONTEST RULES
- Each participant competes at their own risk, taking into account their physical and mental readiness in relation to the difficulty and distance of the competition.
- The competition will take place in all weather conditions, except in cases where participant safety may be at risk (e.g., severe storms). In such cases, the event organizer will decide on an alternative route or cancellation.
- The course is well marked (tapes, signs, flags, etc.). Volunteers will be stationed at key points to assist with guiding runners. All participants must follow the designated route.
- The course primarily runs through nature, including hiking trails, forest paths, gravel roads, and partially through unmarked terrain. A very small portion of the course goes along paved roads, mainly in densely populated areas and when crossing main roads.
- Competitors must adhere to traffic regulations when on public roads.
- If markings are significantly lacking or absent, please report this at the nearest checkpoint.
- A participant may voluntarily withdraw from the race at checkpoints. Any withdrawal must be immediately reported to the organizer (contact information is on the race bib).
- Competitors must complete the course independently. Assistance and support from accompanying teams are allowed only at designated refreshment stations.
- Participants must wear their race bib visibly at all times during the race. Proper placement of the race bib: it must be worn at the front to meet timekeeping requirements. The bib must not be placed on the back or covered by clothing or a backpack.
- Marshals, checkpoint staff, and rescue teams will ensure participant safety along the course. At any time during the race, a participant who is no longer able to continue safely may withdraw. Medical personnel will provide appropriate care and, if necessary, arrange transportation to the finish area.
- Participants must protect the environment. Littering or damaging nature in any way is strictly prohibited. Waste disposal bins will be available at all stations.
- The use of a personal water cup is mandatory.
CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT IN EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES
If the event is canceled due to force majeure or extraordinary circumstances, the organizer will refund the registration fee under the following conditions:
- Cancellation up to 4 months before the event date: 90% of the registration fee will be refunded.
- Cancellation up to 2 months before the event date: 90% of the registration fee will be refunded, along with a 20% discount for the following year.
- Cancellation up to 14 days before the event date: 60% of the registration fee will be refunded, along with a 20% discount for the following year.
- Cancellation less than 14 days before the event date: 50% of the registration fee will be refunded, or the registration fee can be transferred to the following year.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Participants agree to the use of photos and videos taken during the event for the organizer’s promotional purposes.
REFRESHMENT STATIONS AND CHECKPOINTS
- Along the entire route, there will be refreshment stations stocked based on the distance between them. The minimum provisions at these stations include: water, sports drinks, chocolate and sweet pastries, fruit (bananas, apples, oranges, watermelon), savory pastries, salt, and sugar.
- At all checkpoints, participants can refill their bottles with fluids to continue the race.
AWARDS
The first three men and women on each track in each category receive practical prizes.
Special prize:
- Award Ruk’n Ančko ; for the fastest climb from the start to the church at Sv. Ana.
Organizer for setting up the fastest climb (at all events) to the control point at Sv. Ann announces a cash prize.

Underage participants can take part in the event only with the written consent of their parents or guardians and only on the routes Kuhavn’ac (12 km) and Čebular’ac (25 km).

RESPONSIBILITY
- Participants take part in the event at their own risk. The organizer assumes no responsibility for injuries or damage to equipment. By participating in the event, the participant agrees to all rules and consequences associated with the event.
- By registering for the competition and paying the entry fee, the participant confirms that they are familiar with and aware of all competition rules, agree to them, and commit to following them, and that they are participating at their own risk.
- By registering for the competition and paying the entry fee, the participant confirms that they are healthy and fully prepared for the competition. Participation is at their own risk, and the participant declares that in the event of any damage incurred in connection with their participation in this event, they will not sue or claim compensation from the organizer.
- The participant agrees that the organizer may use the personal data provided for general administrative purposes related to participation in this event and for communication about the event.
- The participant also agrees to the publication of photos, film and video recordings, interviews, etc., in public media and on the event’s website, without requiring special permission from the participant.
- The organizer will handle and store participants’ personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
- Any violation of the rules will result in the disqualification of the participant.
- The organizer reserves the right to make adjustments to the course due to urgent needs or force majeure. Participants will be informed of any changes on our website.

If a participant decides not to attend the competition for any reason other than health-related issues, they are not entitled to a refund.
In the case of cancellation before August 15, 2025, the following options are available:- Transfer of registration to another participant
- The transfer is carried out as outlined in the section TRANSFER OF REGISTRATION TO ANOTHER PERSON.
- After August 15, 2025, it will no longer be possible to transfer registration within the system.
- Transfers are also possible on the event day but require written permission from the registered participant.
- Transfer of registration to the following year
- This option is only available with a submitted medical certificate.
- Refund of registration costs
- To request a refund, a written explanation must be sent via email to ponosniposamezniki@gmail.com, including a medical certificate confirming health issues.
- Participants who do not provide a medical certificate proving health issues are not entitled to a refund.
- After September 6, 2025, refunds are no longer available, regardless of the reason for non-participation.
REFUND POLICY
The organizer commits to refunding a certain percentage of the registration fee if the participant requests a refund for medically justified reasons:- Until May 31, 2025: 90% of the registration fee
- From June 1 to July 31, 2025: 70% of the registration fee
- From August 1 to August 15, 2025: 50% of the registration fee
- From August 15 to September 5, 2025: 25% of the registration fee
- After September 6, 2025: 0%
GENERAL TERMS FOR GIFTS AND MEMORABILIA
If a participant does not attend the race for any reason, the organizer is not obligated to provide items such as the starter gift bag, technical shirt, or Ribnica woodenware product.
Participants can collect all gifts and memorabilia in person during the official hours for Ribn’ca Trail 2025 race number collection or appoint someone else to collect the starter pack on their behalf.
After the event, the organizer is not responsible for shipping uncollected starter packs, technical shirts, or other memorabilia that were not collected before the event. - Transfer of registration to another participant
COMPLAINTS
Complaints must be submitted in writing no later than 30 minutes after the runner finishes the race. The committee will review the complaint and provide a decision as quickly as possible. The decision of the committee is final and cannot be appealed further.

PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES
The use of prohibited substances is strictly forbidden. The organizer will ensure all necessary resources and means to conduct potential testing.
